Willow Housing provides affordable, high-quality housing for homeless and at-risk Veterans, located in close proximity to healthcare services. On-site supportive services promote wellness, vocational training, self-sufficiency, and self-determination. A key design priority is coordinating with surrounding development patterns and complying with the design standards of the City of Menlo Park, as well as respecting the historic buildings of the Veterans Administration hospital.
The site design preserves mature heritage oak trees and includes serene outdoor recreational spaces for residents. The land is made available through the Department of Veterans Affairs BURR Initiative, which contributes underutilized land and building assets to support the goal of ending Veteran homelessness.
