Monroe Apartments is an affordable housing project in Santa Clara comprising 65 units within a three-story building and an on-grade parking lot. The development, known as Monroe Commons, broke ground in April 2022 and opened Fall 2023. Notably, 25% of the units will be reserved for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The project offers a range of on-site amenities, including a fitness center, a game room, a laundry room, and a community room. Additionally, Monroe Apartments incorporates several sustainability features such as photovoltaic panels, pervious concrete for the parking lot, low-flow plumbing fixtures, and energy-efficient lighting.
