In April 2019, construction started on 62 units of new affordable apartments in an existing complex. During this new construction project, the team also rehabilitated 108 existing apartments and expanded the existing community center. The new building is three stories tall and has on-grade parking.
The existing parking lot was also reconfigured to accommodate the new apartments. The team had to construct the new lot over very shallow water main lines feeding from Hetch Hetchy down the peninsula. The new building has a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. The project was completed in November 2020 in the midst of COVID.
